P5

This term we have been studying life in Vietnam. We have discovered that the flags of different countries mean different things.

We have been studying the Tiger an endangered species that lives in Vietnam. Finding out interesting facts, writing stories and designing a poster about why tigers are endangered.

We have had a visit from Tuyen who is from Vietnam she showed us pictures and talked about life in Vietnam. We also learned some Vietnamese words.

P5 have had visits this term from Frazer who has been coaching the class in rugby.

We have been taking part in the Which Writer Wins competition. This is a competition for all P5 classes in Montrose.

We have been reading books from 3 authors: Geraldine McCaughrean, Kaye Umansky and Jenny Nimmo.

We have been writing reviews and posting them on GLOW. We have also been taking part in discussions online about the authors online.

In the classroom we have been growing cuttings and seeds in different conditions to see which will grow best.
